ASSESSING YOUR NEEDS
Fixed Price First Assessment: This includes: Telephone call to discuss your needs.Liaison with professionals in your team.
Face to face assessment in your own home. - It is helpful to have a friend with you.
- We will talk through your aims and equipment needs.- I will see how you sit, lie down and move. - I will need to move your legs and see how you balance. - I provide support when choosing wheelchairs, seating and posture care equipment. - We will discuss some options for you.
Following the visit I will send you a full written report with recommendations of equipment for you to try and a quote for further support.
You can then choose if you would like to continue with me through the rest of the process.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Posture is not static and requires care and attention to detail. Each person has their unique needs, I work to tailor solutions to meet your needs, by selecting products or bespoke solutions. I select suppliers who can offer high quality products and the attention to detail you deserve. It is important that suppliers can support you now and in the future to keep equipment working well. I recommend regular review to ensure the equipment works well and to fine tune the set up as you get used to it.
PERSONAL TOUCH
Posture needs are dynamic and may change. Regular review is essential to getting equipment set up right for you. Once you have had a chance to use the equipment, it is important for me to review how you are progressing. To ensure equipment is used correctly and to fine tune the set-up for you. Ensuring that any challenges that arise can be dealt with swiftly. You are not alone.
ABOUT ME
As an Occupational Therapist I work holistically, with clients of all ages. I specialise in paediatrics, posture management and solution finding to meet the unique and complex needs of my clients. Since 2000, Seating has been the thread that has linked all of my roles across a range of statutory services. This experience is vital in linking with colleagues across all sectors. I currently run a successful wheelchair service with clients needs at the centre of all I do. In 2016 I set up a sleep system service, the first of its kind in the UK. More recently I’ve worked with Case managers to provide equipment solutions for our clients.
I provide support when choosing wheelchairs, seating and posture care equipment. I am always striving for more for my clients and challenging the boundaries. The sky really is the limit and I love a challenge!
